High Potential Start Up Class 2013
The HBAN team today attended “The Start-up Class of 2013” event which brought together the Irish investment community with over 100 companies. These companies which Enterprise Ireland have invested in during 2013 comprised of High Potential Start-Up, Competitive Start Fund and New Frontier companies.
The event, which took place in Dublin Castle, was opened by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Mr. Richard Bruton, T.D., and Julie Sinnamon, Chief Executive Enterprise Ireland. Alison Cowzer, founding member of the HBAN Food Syndicate was on the Investor Panel, where investors shared their insights into today's climate for investment and answered questions from the entrepreneurs in the room. This discussion was followed by a panel of serial entrepreneurs with lots of time between the sessions for networking between the companies and investors.

Julie commented "The calibre of companies this year was really excellent across all sectors, a really diverse group. The biggest sector of all was the technology, software and gaming with really dynamic, young companies who are very enthusiastic and full of energy with really big ambition. Julie also commented on the increase from 16 to 41 female entrepreneurs in this years programmes compared to last year. Great news for #womeninbusiness!
