HBAN wins Best Business Angel Week Award at European Business Angel Awards Annual Awards 2017

HBAN, the all-island group responsible for the promotion of business angel investment in Ireland, today announces that it won the Best Business Angel Week Award at the EBAN (European Business Angel Network) Gala Dinner Awards Ceremony held in Málaga, Spain on Thursday, 8th June.HBAN, a joint initiative of InterTradeIreland and Enterprise Ireland, won the prestigious European accolade based on the success of its Business Angel Roadshow that it ran in November last year.

Acorn Angels invest in Social Peer to Peer Finance Platform

Irish-based company Flender has won a funding package including the first investment by the Derry/Londonderry Acorn Angel Group, which included Padraig Canavan, Liam Bradley and Paul McElvaney. Flender is an online platform that creates a marketplace for businesses and individuals in the Republic of Ireland to borrow and lend money safely and at better rates than those offered by the banks.

Enterprise Ireland announces €750,000 in start up funding for Female Entrepreneurs

The Enterprise Ireland INNOVATE programme for Female entrepreneurs delivered by Furthr Enterprise Ireland’s €750,000 Competitive Start Fund (CSF) for Female Entrepreneurs will open for applications on Wednesday 3rd May. Up to €50,000 in equity funding is available to a maximum of 15 successful female applicants with early stage start-up companies. Last year, one in three companies who received CSF investment from Enterprise Ireland were female-led.
