Business angels key to €12m investment in tech start-ups, 344 new jobs
The Halo Business Angel Network (HBAN) helped 29 companies raise €12m, which will lead to the creation of 143 new jobs in 2012 and 344 jobs by the end of 2014. An incremental €1m (stg£850,000) was raised in eight deals completed by Halo Northern Ireland.

€90 million angel funds for start-ups
IRISH HIGH potential start-ups will have access to some €90 million in angel funds from 300 investors in 2012, according to the Halo Business Angel Network (HBAN). This comes after a record-breaking 2011 in which angel investors put €12 million into tech start-ups, an increase of almost 20 per cent on 2010.

A €12m investment in the Irish smart economy is aiming to create 343 jobs within the next three years.
Halo Business Angel Network, an umbrella group in partnership with the Irish BICS, for InterTrade Ireland and Enterprise Ireland, raised the cash for 29 Irish tech start-ups last year.

100 business angel investors gather in Dublin
