InishTech
Established in 2009 by entrepreneurs Aidan Gallagher, John O’ Sullivan and David Smyth, Dublin-based InishTech provides Software Developers and Product Managers globally with code protection and licence management solutions to protect their most valuable assets and enable them to provide their customers with the ability to deploy and use their products in the most flexible manner possible. Based on technology provided by Microsoft under the Microsoft IP Ventures program in collaboration with Enterprise Ireland, InishTech were able to acquire and successfully build upon Microsoft’s IP in return for providing Microsoft with a significant minority stake in InishTech.
KidSpotter supported by HBAN
Set up in 2006 by entrepreneurs Liam Darling and Andrew Dunne, KidSpotter is a company that develops child safety tracking systems and sells these to high footfall locations like theme parks, shopping malls and other venues with similarly high footfall. Using wireless technologies, the solution tracks children allowing parents to keep track of them and locate them quickly if they get lost. The company’s development to date has been supported by Dublin City Enterprise Board and Enterprise Ireland. www.kidspotter.com
SolarPrint
SolarPrint Limited was founded in 2008 by Dr. Mazhar Bari, Roy Horgan and Andre Fernon. SolarPrint Limited develops and manufactures dye sensitised solar cell (DSSC) photovoltaic technology. Its technology is used in various consumer electronic products, such as portable devices, displays, marine applications, solar battery rechargers, sensors, and active radio frequency identification tags; building materials, such as roofing, skylights, and internal and external fecades; and transportation products.
